DJ Havana Brown can do it all.
Not only is she a superstar, the Australian international DJ became a pop phenomenon with "We Run the Night, featuring Pitbull, her debut release for 2101 Records/Universal Republic Records. "We Run The Night," (a #1 hit on the Billboard Dance charts) is the first platinum single for the 2101 Records Label and her just-released single "Big Banana" debuted as the #1 Breakout for Hot Dance Club Play. Brown has also established herself as a go-to DJ, manning the decks on tour before major pop presences such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, The Pussycat Dolls Chris Brown, Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, and many more. She is the first female DJ in Australia to sign a major label record deal with Universal Music releasing her popular compilation series, Crave, via the label.
About the "We Run the Night", Brown reveals, "I wanted to combine the club and commercial words in one song, creating something that I could play in my DJ sets and on my radio show. It was a challenge, as I had to work with people who understood what's happening in the club scene and in pop music at the same time. RedOne was perfect. We mixed two types of music together." The track bridges those gaps seamlessly with its hyper catchy, sexy hook and incendiary bump 'n' groove. "The lyrics are about music, but there's this sexual innuendo in there. I like boys, but I love music," laughs Brown. "It brings everything together, while showing how music makes me feel."
"We Run The Night" is a great introduction to the kind of artist I am and I'm going to be," she declares. "However, it also represents me as a DJ. I didn't want to neglect that side. My dream was always to make music that I could play in the clubs and on my radio shows."
That's exactly what she's doing. Still, Brown is at another new beginning. "I want people to forget everything and feel free when they hear my music," she concludes. "I want them to move, dance, feel sexy, and enjoy life. I want them to escape."
Nathan Scott has been developing his performace for the last 7 years as an artist working 5 nights-a-week primarily in the Chicago night club scene. Influenced at a young age when he and his father would listen to Chicago house music icons such as Frankie Knuckles, Julian Perez and Bad Boy Bill, Nathan now maintains a Chicago residency the The Mid and performs all over the United States. Nathan also holds a residency at Las Vegas' Ultra Pool WET REPUBLIC every Sunday at the MGM Grand Hotel as well as one at Sutra in Orange County. Moreover, he is a regular at sbe's XIV party in Los Angeles has opened for world class DJ's such as Kaskade, Sharam and Deadmau5 just to name a few. Nathan is the resident DJ from Chicago on XM BPM (channel 81) / Sirius (channel 36) radio on Friday nights at 9PM (central) and Saturday 2AM(central). Currently, Nathan's mix with DJ Antoine "Underneath" is #4 on BPM chart.
